InnerPulse, Inc,
a privately held company developing unique technologies for the treatment
of abnormal heart rhythms, announced today the appointment of James F. Buck
as Vice-President, Marketing and Business Development, effective
immediately. Mr. Buck, who reports directly to President and Chief
Executive Officer Daniel A. Pelak, has 15 years of experience in the
medical device industry including more than a decade in the cardiac rhythm
management (CRM) sector.
Mr. Buck, 43, most recently served as Vice-President, Marketing and
Business Development for Closure Medical Corporation, a medical device
developer and manufacturer located in Raleigh, N.C. Mr. Buck was a key
member of the management team through the sale of the business last year to
Johnson & Johnson.
"Jim's breadth of CRM market knowledge and overall medical device
industry experience will be of great value as we grow the company. He adds
a strong market and patient focus we will need as we continue development
of this important technology," Pelak said.
Before joining Closure, Mr. Buck spent 11 years at St. Jude Medical
where he held roles of increasing responsibility in electrophysiology
product management and CRM sales, sales management, business development
and strategic marketing.
Mr. Buck holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Indiana University
and a master's degree in management from the Kellogg Graduate School of
Management at Northwestern University.
